     Loftus Charles Ogilvy Egmont Mansergh was born in 1873.1 He was the son of Major Charles Stepney Perceval Egmont Mansergh and Helen Ogilvy.1 He died on 17 March 1904, drowned when in command of HM Submarine A1 when it was run down and sunk off The Nab.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.1
