     James Edmund Cranstoun, 9th Lord Cranstoun was born circa 1784. He was the son of Hon. Charles Cranstoun and Elizabeth Turner.1 He married Anna Linnington Macnamara, daughter of John Macnamara, on 25 November 1807.1 He died on 5 September 1818.
     He gained the title of 9th Lord Cranstoun.
