Maj.-Gen. Sir Charles Broke Vere was born on 21 February 1779.1 He was the son of Philip Bowes Broke and Elizabeth Beaumont.1 He died on 1 April 1843 at age 64 at Bath, Somerset, England.1
He was given the name of Charles Broke at birth.1 In 1822 his name was legally changed to Charles Broke Vere.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to King William IV between 1825 and 1837.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Suffolk between 1835 and 1843.1
