     William Richard Dawnay was born on 20 December 1910.¹ He was the son of Nigel William Dawnay and Daisy Rosalie Norman Dunnett.¹ He married, firstly, Olive Margaret Barratt, daughter of Arthur James Barratt, in 1940.¹ He and Olive Margaret Barratt were divorced in 1961.¹ He married, secondly, Pamela Lester, daughter of Charles Lester, on 14 September 1963.¹ He died in 1977.¹

     Olive Margaret Barratt is the daughter of Arthur James Barratt.¹ She married William Richard Dawnay, son of Nigel William Dawnay and Daisy Rosalie Norman Dunnett, in 1940.¹ She and William Richard Dawnay were divorced in 1961.¹

     Diana Margaret Dawnay was born on 12 November 1947.¹ She was the daughter of William Richard Dawnay and Olive Margaret Barratt.¹ She died in April 2011 at age 63.²

     Eric Christopher Dawnay was born on 28 May 1913.¹ He was the son of Nigel William Dawnay and Daisy Rosalie Norman Dunnett.¹ He married Vera Winifred Barratt, daughter of Arthur James Barratt, on 6 October 1945.¹ He died in March 1999 at age 85.²
     He was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 104th (Essex Yeomanry) Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1941, where he became a POW.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹

     Vera Winifred Barratt was the daughter of Arthur James Barratt.¹ She married, firstly, James Hobbs before 1945.¹ She married, secondly, Eric Christopher Dawnay, son of Nigel William Dawnay and Daisy Rosalie Norman Dunnett, on 6 October 1945.¹ She died in April 2008.²
     From before 1945, her married name became Hobbs.¹ Her married name became Dawnay. She lived in 2003 at Llyndir, Dolgellau, Gwynedd, Wales^G.¹
