     He gained the rank of Major in the Indian Army.¹

     Rose Marion Bell was the daughter of Major James Lancaster Bell.¹ She married Major Harry George Carnegie, son of General Alexander Carnegie and Augusta Ker, on 1 January 1891.¹ She died on 7 June 1948.¹
     From 1 January 1891, her married name became Carnegie.¹

     Major James Lancaster Bell gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Frederick Alexander Carnegie was born on 21 July 1895.¹ He was the son of Major Harry George Carnegie and Rose Marion Bell.¹ He died in October 1915 at age 20, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 10th Gloucestershire Regiment.¹

     Eileen Augusta Carnegie was born on 1 October 1898.¹ She was the daughter of Major Harry George Carnegie and Rose Marion Bell.¹ She married Philip Roberts, son of E. O. Roberts, on 7 February 1924.¹ She and Philip Roberts were divorced in 1936.¹
     From 7 February 1924, her married name became Roberts.¹

     Philip Roberts is the son of E. O. Roberts.¹ He married Eileen Augusta Carnegie, daughter of Major Harry George Carnegie and Rose Marion Bell, on 7 February 1924.¹ He and Eileen Augusta Carnegie were divorced in 1936.¹

     E. O. Roberts lived at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.¹

     Augusta Ker Carnegie was the daughter of General Alexander Carnegie and Augusta Ker.¹ She married James T. Hathornthwaite on 13 September 1879.¹ She died on 14 March 1938.¹
     From 13 September 1879, her married name became Hathornthwaite.¹

     James T. Hathornthwaite married Augusta Ker Carnegie, daughter of General Alexander Carnegie and Augusta Ker, on 13 September 1879.¹ He died in 1911.¹
     He was Principal at Elphinstone College, Bombay, India.¹

     Helen Meta Forbes was the daughter of Charles Henry Forbes.¹ She married, firstly, Major Robert Graham Mayne before 1889.¹ She married, secondly, General Alexander Carnegie, son of Maj.-Gen. Alexander Carnegie and Isabella Don, in 1889.¹ She died on 4 April 1923.¹
     From before 1889, her married name became Mayne.¹ From 1889, her married name became Carnegie.¹
