     He fought in the Peninsular Campaign.¹ He fought in the War of 1812.¹ He gained the rank of General in the Royal Marine Artillery.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Henry Thomas Thornhill was born in 1881 at Farnham, Hampshire, England.¹ He was the son of Colonel Henry Thornhill and Rose Parke.¹
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹

     Charles Albert Wilson was born circa 13 February 1890 at Richmond, New South Wales, Australia.¹ He was the son of Charles Wilson and Mary Jessie Black.¹ He married Esther Elizabeth Rigg, daughter of George Rigg and Mary Sarah Mainwaring, on 7 October 1912 at Te Awamutu, New Zealand.¹ He died on 8 March 1957 at Kihikihi, Waikato, New Zealand.¹

     Sarah Mary Rigg was born on 18 May 1896 at Kihikihi, Waikato, New Zealand.¹ She was the daughter of George Rigg and Mary Sarah Mainwaring.¹ She married, firstly, Edward George Harris circa 1914 at New Zealand.¹ She married, secondly, Charles Hanwell on 8 January 1918 at Auckland, New Zealand.¹ She married, thirdly, Thomas William Coldicutt-Addison, son of Thomas William Coldicutt and Emily Jane Birdwood, on 4 June 1926 at Otorohanga, Waikato, New Zealand.¹ She died on 13 February 1969 at age 72 at Otorohanga, Waikato, New Zealand.¹
     From circa 1914, her married name became Harris.¹ From 8 January 1918, her married name became Hanwell.¹ From 4 June 1926, her married name became Coldicutt-Addison.¹
