     Maj.-Gen. George Wahab was born in 1752 at Balbriggan, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was the son of Thomas Wahab and Letitia Stewart.1,2 He married Catherine Brooke on 25 October 1776.1 He died on 20 December 1808 at Madras, Madras, India.1 He was buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Madras, Madras, India.1
     He was commissioned in 1769, in the service of the Madras Army.1

Catherine Brooke1

     Catherine Brooke was born circa 1760.1 She married Maj.-Gen. George Wahab, son of Thomas Wahab and Letitia Stewart, on 25 October 1776.1 She died on 26 November 1814 at Palancottah, India.1
     From 25 October 1776, her married name became Wahab.1
