     John Need was baptised on 19 June 1805 at Canterbury Cathedral, Canterbury, Kent, England.¹ He was the son of John Need and Mary Welfitt.¹ He died on 26 April 1806.¹

     Samuel William Need was baptised in 1806 at Mansfield, Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ He was the son of John Need and Mary Welfitt.¹ He married Letitia Mary Hall, daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Hall, on 14 September 1837 at Cuckney, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ He died in 1889.¹

     Lucy Elizabeth Mary Need was baptised on 28 June 1813 at Mansfield, Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of John Need and Mary Welfitt.¹

     Sir William Whitmore, 2nd Bt. was born on 8 April 1637.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Whitmore, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Acton.² He married Mary Harvey, daughter of Elias Harvey, circa 1658.¹ He died in 1699, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Whitmore, of Apley, co. Shropshire [E., 1641] in 1653.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Shropshire in 1660.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridgnorth between 1661 and 1699.¹ On his death his baronetcy expired.¹

     Elias Harvey lived at London, England.¹

     Mary Harvey was the daughter of Elias Harvey.² She married Sir William Whitmore, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Whitmore, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Acton, circa 1658.¹ She died on 30 January 1710/11.¹
     From circa 1658, her married name became Whitmore.
