He was President of Bristol Stock Exchange and Council of Associated Stock Exchanges U.K.1 He was created 1st Baronet White, of Cotham House, Bristol [U.K.] on 26 August 1904.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was head of George White and Company, Bristol, aeroplane manufacturers. He introduced Bristol biplanes and monoplanes, also pioneer electric street traction, introducing it into London, Dublin, Bristol and Middlesbrough.1
