He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was ordained in 1840 Church of England Priest.1 He was ordained in 1846 Roman Catholic priest, with his close friend and fellow Oratorian John Henry (later Cardinal) Newman.1
