     Charles Marston Rose was born on 15 January 1858.1 He was the son of Sir Philip Rose, 1st Bt. and Margaretta Ranking.2 He married Diana Louisa Lee, daughter of Richard Thomas Lee and Louisa Elizabeth Pilkington, on 28 July 1887.1 He died on 6 December 1924 at age 66.1
     He was a practising barrister.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Buckinghamshire Militia.1
