     Major Robert Gage Somers Lang was born on 29 April 1907.¹ He was the son of Colonel Eustace Arthur Lang and Amy Kathleen Dobbs.¹ He died on 1 September 1925 at age 18.¹

     Carolyn Anne Ricketts is the daughter of Major A. P. P. Ricketts.² She married Walter Gervase Riddell-Carre, son of S/Ldr. Gervase Robert Riddell-Carre and Eileen Inez Tweedie, in 1975.¹
     From 1975, her married name became Riddell-Carre.

     Andrew Gervase Riddell-Carre was born in 1979.¹ He is the son of Walter Gervase Riddell-Carre and Carolyn Anne Ricketts.²

     James Walter Riddell-Carre was born in 1981.¹ He is the son of Walter Gervase Riddell-Carre and Carolyn Anne Ricketts.²
     He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England.³

     Elizabeth Olive Geva Riddell-Carre was the daughter of Thomas Alexander Riddell-Carre and Elizabeth Fellows.² She died in 1896, unmarried.¹

     Grizel Geva Riddell-Carre was the daughter of Thomas Alexander Riddell-Carre and Elizabeth Fellows.² She died on 3 December 1946, unmarried.¹

     John Carre Riddell was born on 4 June 1809.¹ He was the son of Thomas Riddell and Jane Ferrier.² He married Mary Anne Sibella Stephen, daughter of Sidney James Stephen and Margaret Adlam, on 22 October 1846.¹ He died on 22 December 1879 at age 70.¹
     He held the office of Member, Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.) [Victoria], for 25 years.¹ He lived at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.¹

     Sidney James Stephen was born on 11 December 1796 at Somerleage, Somerset, England.² He was the son of John Stephen and Mary Ann Pasmore.² He married Margaret Adlam on 16 August 1819 at St. Kitts.² He died on 13 January 1858 at age 61 at Auckland, New Zealand.²
     He held the office of Chief Justice of New Zealand.¹

     Mary Anne Sibella Stephen was the daughter of Sidney James Stephen and Margaret Adlam.^2,3 She married John Carre Riddell, son of Thomas Riddell and Jane Ferrier, on 22 October 1846.¹ She died on 1 January 1890.¹
     From 22 October 1846, her married name became Riddell.

     Lt.-Col. Thomas William Carre-Riddell was born on 31 October 1853.^1,2 He was the son of John Carre Riddell and Mary Anne Sibella Stephen.³ He married Virginia Eleanor Consett Stephen, daughter of Montague Consett Stephen, on 23 February 1886.¹ He died on 15 August 1930 at age 76.¹
     He was given the name of Thomas William Riddell at birth. In 1879 his name was legally changed to Thomas William Carre-Riddell.¹ He was awarded the Royal Officers’ Decoration (V.D.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 9th Regiment, Australian Light Horse.¹
