She married John Henry Moffatt, son of John Henry Cornelius Boisdale Hender Moffatt and Mary Emily Maud Lawton, on 5 April 1925 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.^3,1 She died on 29 October 1986 at age 82 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹
     Her married name became Moffatt.¹ Olive came to Canada as a child with her mother and sisters. Her mother remarried and she had a half sister and brother born here. Olive ran a boarding house out of her home to pay the bills while her husband was away at war.¹

     John Henry Moffatt was born on 3 October 1900 at West Derby, Lancashire, England.^2,1 He was the son of John Henry Cornelius Boisdale Hender Moffatt and Mary Emily Maud Lawton. He married Hilda Olive Dunn, daughter of Martha Dunn, on 5 April 1925 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.^2,1 He died on 2 September 1976 at age 75 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹
     John (known as Jack) drove a truck for Vincent Massey during WWII and spent most of the war in England.¹

     Eunice Rae Speed was born on 24 April 1909 at Forfar, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of William Marshall Speed and Jemima Forret. She married Samuel Moore, son of John Quartz Moore and Roseanna Ferguson, on 22 September 1933 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹ She died on 17 September 2003 at age 94 at Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.¹
     From 22 September 1933, her married name became Moore.¹

     Samuel Moore was born on 1 April 1907 at Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.¹ He was the son of John Quartz Moore and Roseanna Ferguson. He married Eunice Rae Speed, daughter of William Marshall Speed and Jemima Forret, on 22 September 1933 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹ He died on 28 August 1982 at age 75 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹

She was baptised on 13 January 1878 at St. Peter, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.^2,1 She married John Henry Cornelius Boisdale Hender Moffatt, son of Robert Moffatt and Mary MacDonald, on 25 December 1895 at West Derby, Lancashire, England.¹ She died on 8 December 1964 at age 86 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹
     As told by her grandson Doug, Grandma Emily was a kind loving grandmother who always called everyone ‘Luv’ and had a hug for you everytime you met her. She and her husband loved each other very much and were superindendents of an apartment building near Maple Leaf Gardens for years. They also liked to play cards and had pet canaries. Emily was separated from her husband for 10 years when he came to Canada to find work. She joined him and Flora when she was 41 years old.¹ Her married name became Moffatt.¹

He was baptised on 4 February 1876 at St. Peter, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.^2,1 He married Mary Emily Maud Lawton, daughter of William Lawton and Mary Ann Hewitt, on 25 December 1895 at West Derby, Lancashire, England.¹ He died on 8 April 1957 at age 81 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹
     John Henry Cornelius Boisdale Hender Moffatt came to Canada circa 1906 to find work. He left behind his wife and 4 children who had to live in residential homes in Liverpool because they were poor. He
came to Fort William which is now Thunder Bay to work as a slater. He was here 10 years before his family was reunited. John loved to tell people his name because they didn’t believe him and it sound
ed important! He would wear fake army medals and tell stories about his illustrious past. We know now that he is descended from Hugh Macdonald IV of Boisdale (his grandfather) who was the last laird o
f Boisdale before all the lands were sold. He is directly descended from Clanranald which can be traced back to 997 AD! He was not joking when he told his stories! He was a very happy man and loved to
go visit the pub for a drink every day.¹

     John Moffatt was born on 13 June 1926 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹ He was the son of John Henry Moffatt and Hilda Olive Dunn. He married Lois Margaret Elizabeth McCormick on 9 June 1950 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹ He died on 8 August 2003 at age 77 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹
     John quit school to work and help his mother pay bills while his father was overseas during WWII.
He joined the army and did his military training in Bowmanville. He also boxed for the platoon. He loved hockey and was a coach for many years.¹ He was Elevator Mechanic for Sears.¹

     Colin Moffatt was born on 19 April 1929 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹ He was the son of John Henry Moffatt and Hilda Olive Dunn. He married Florence Lila June Gillingham on 18 July 1952 at Unionville, Ontario, Canada.¹ He died on 9 March 2007 at age 77 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.¹
     Colin was lucky enough to have worked at the Avro Arrow plant in Toronto before it was dismantled.¹
