     George Broadfoot Havelock was born on 5 June 1847 at India.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Havelock and Hannah Shepherd Marshman.1 He married, firstly, Georgina Marian Crosby, daughter of James Crosby, on 23 September 1873 at Salford, Lancashire, England.1,2 He married, secondly, Annie Helen Beresford, daughter of Henry Browne Beresford, on 20 December 1888.1 He died on 20 April 1908 at age 60 at Christchurch, Hampshire, England.1,2
     He gained the rank of officer in the Prince of Wales (North Staffordshire Regiment) 98th.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 101st Royal Bengal Fusiliers.1 He was with the Bengal Police.1

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Scottish Parliament (Conservative) for Highlands and Islands in 1999.1 He lived in 2003 at Ardchonnel House, Dalmally, Argyllshire, Scotland.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet McGrigor, of Campden Hill, co.
