Sir Charles Edward McGrigor, 5th Bt.1 
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet McGrigor, of Campden Hill, co. Middlesex [U.K., 1831] on 28 October 1946.1 He retired from the military in 1954, with the rank of Captain, late of the Rifle Brigade.2 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HRH The Duke of Gloucester between 1970 and 1985.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Argyll and Bute in 1987.2 He was Deputy Chairmam of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution between 1988 and 1991.2 He lived in 2003 at Upper Sonachan, Dalmally, Argyllshire, ScotlandG.2
