     Richard Anlaby Legard was born on 10 November 1880.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sir James Digby Legard and Julia Helen Arkwright.² He married Dorice Ostler, daughter of Harold Ostler, on 19 June 1929.¹ He died on 8 May 1973 at age 92.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Yorkshire Artillery.¹

     Harold Ostler lived at Hull, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Dorice Ostler was the daughter of Harold Ostler.² She married Richard Anlaby Legard, son of Colonel Sir James Digby Legard and Julia Helen Arkwright, on 19 June 1929.¹ She died in 1976.¹
     From 19 June 1929, her married name became Legard.

McMurray were divorced in 1975.¹ He married, secondly, Joan Frances Hall Flynn, daughter of Francis Johnson Flynn, in 1985.¹

     Jean H. McMurray married, firstly, Anthony Dodd in 1953.² She married, secondly, Richard Digby Legard, son of Richard Anlaby Legard and Dorice Ostler, in August 1966.¹ She and Richard Digby Legard were divorced in 1975.¹
     She lived at York, Yorkshire, England.¹ From 1953, her married name became Dodd.¹ From August 1966, her married name became Legard.

     James Richard Anlaby Legard was born on 1 July 1967 at Howden, Yorkshire, England.^1,2 He is the son of Richard Digby Legard and Jean H. McMurray.³
     He was educated at Worksop School, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹

     Thomas Francis Legard was born in 1885.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sir James Digby Legard and Julia Helen Arkwright.² He died on 2 November 1933.¹

     Reginald John Legard was born on 26 September 1893.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sir James Digby Legard and Julia Helen Arkwright.² He died on 9 May 1915 at age 21, from wounds received in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment.¹
