     Haideé June MacCarthy was born on 1 June 1942.¹ She is the daughter of Desmond Brendan MacCarthy and Haidée Mary Maunsell.¹

     Vendela Susan Esther Legard was born on 26 January 1911.¹ She is the daughter of George Percy Legard and Andolie Susannah Luck.² She married Major Colin Clement Geoffrey Milward, son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Clement Arthur Milward, on 4 July 1938.¹ She and Major Colin Clement Geoffrey Milward were divorced in 1947.¹
     From 4 July 1938, her married name became Milward.

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Clement Arthur Milward was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹

     Major Colin Clement Geoffrey Milward was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Clement Arthur Milward.² He married Vendela Susan Esther Legard, daughter of George Percy Legard and Andolie Susannah Luck, on 4 July 1938.¹ He and Vendela Susan Esther Legard were divorced in 1947.¹ He died on 3 January 1951 at South Korea, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Korean War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Northumberland Fusiliers.¹
