     Katherine Weir was the daughter of Cornelius Weir.1 She married, firstly, Sir James Murray of Kilbaberton.1 A contract for the marriage of Katherine Weir and Sir Patrick Murray, 1st Lord Elibank was signed on 24 March 1637/38.1 She died before 16 October 1655.1
     From 24 March 1637/38, her married name became Murray.1
