     John Ramsay of Barra was born on 3 May 1786.¹ He was the son of John Ramsay of Barra and Mary Ramsay.² He married Susan Innes, daughter of Alexander Innes of Pitmedden, on 15 February 1831.¹ He died on 23 October 1832 at age 46.¹

     Susan Innes was born in 1802. She was the daughter of Alexander Innes of Pitmedden.¹ She married, firstly, John Ramsay of Barra, son of John Ramsay of Barra and Mary Ramsay, on 15 February 1831.¹ She married, secondly, Captain William Henry Nares on 24 October 1844.¹ She died on 5 August 1887.¹
     From 15 February 1831, her married name became Ramsay.¹ From 24 October 1844, her married name became Nares.¹

     John Ramsay of Barra was born on 3 December 1831.¹ He was the son of John Ramsay of Barra and Susan Innes.² He married Leonora Sophia Bond, daughter of Reverend Nathaniel Bond, on 16 September 1858.¹ He died on 29 May 1895 at age 63.¹

     Reverend Nathaniel Bond lived at Creech Grange.¹

     Leonora Sophia Bond was the daughter of Reverend Nathaniel Bond.² She married John Ramsay of Barra, son of John Ramsay of Barra and Susan Innes, on 16 September 1858.¹ She died on 4 February 1862.¹
     From 16 September 1858, her married name became Ramsay.

     Mary Agnes Ramsay of Barra and Straloch was the daughter of John Ramsay of Barra and Leonora Sophia Bond.² She married Francis Hugh Forbes Irvine, 21st of Drum, son of Alexander Forbes Irvine, 20th of Drum and Anna Margaretta Forbes, on 18 November 1880.¹ She died on 13 March 1938.²
     From 18 November 1880, her married name became Forbes Irvine.

     Francis Hugh Forbes Irvine, 21st of Drum was born on 23 August 1854.² He was the son of Alexander Forbes Irvine, 20th of Drum and Anna Margaretta Forbes.² He married Mary Agnes Ramsay of Barra and Straloch, daughter of John Ramsay of Barra and Leonora Sophia Bond, on 18 November 1880.¹ He died on 25 July 1894 at age 39.²
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a barrister.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)²

     Christina Susan Mary Ramsay was the daughter of John Ramsay of Barra and Susan Innes.² She died on 12 September 1905, unmarried.¹

     James Ramsay was born in 1797.¹ He was the son of John Ramsay of Barra and Mary Ramsay.² He married Maria Duff, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Patrick Duff of Carnousie, on 13 August 1827 at Westminster, London, England.^1,3

     Maj.-Gen. Patrick Duff of Carnousie also went by the nick-name of ‘Tiger’.²
