     He was educated at Oundle School, Oundle, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Henry Thompson Kirby lived at Southport, Lancashire, England.¹

     Olive Kirby is the daughter of Henry Thompson Kirby.² She married James Temple Holden, son of Sir George Holden, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Adamson Smith, on 17 January 1948.¹ She and James Temple Holden were divorced in 1956.¹
     From 17 January 1948, her married name became Holden.

     Peter James Holden was born on 16 November 1954.¹ He is the son of James Temple Holden and Olive Kirby.²
