Sir George Holden, 2nd Bt. was born on 16 April 1890.1 He was the son of Sir John Henry Holden, 1st Bt. and Emma Cawkwell.2 He married Margaret Adamson Smith, daughter of Thomas Smith, on 11 June 1913.1 He died on 26 September 1937 at age 47.1
He held the office of Mayor of Leigh.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Holden, of The Firs, Leigh, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1919] on 4 May 1926.1
