     William Cruickshank was born in 1855 at McDuff, Banffshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of William Cruickshank.¹ He married Mary Ann Brown, daughter of James Brown, in 1881 at Akaroa, New Zealand^G.¹ He died in 1938 at Eketahuna, New Zealand^G.¹

     Mary Ann Brown was born in 1860 at Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of James Brown.¹ She married William Cruickshank, son of William Cruickshank, in 1881 at Akaroa, New Zealand^G.¹ She died in 1907 at Wellington, New Zealand^G.¹

     Alice Cruickshank was born in 1880 at Akaroa, New Zealand^G.¹ She was the daughter of William Cruickshank and Mary Ann Brown.¹ She married Wiiliam Olsen circa 1903.¹ She died in 1950 at Kohinui Wai, New Zealand.¹

     William Cruickshank was born in 1883 at Akaroa, New Zealand^G.¹ He was the son of William Cruickshank and Mary Ann Brown.¹ He died in 1916 at France^G, from a bomb explosion which was not the result of of enemy fire, but as a result of an accident during training.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹
