John Brooke Johnson-Brooke1

     John Brooke Johnson-Brooke was the son of Reverend Francis Charles Johnson and Emma Frances Brooke.1 He married, firstly, Annie Grant, daughter of John Grant of Kilgraston and Pitkeathly.1 He married, secondly, Julia Welstead.1 He died on 1 December 1868.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Connaught Rangers.1 He was given the name of John Brooke Johnson at birth.1 In 1848 his name was legally changed to John Brooke Johnson-Brooke.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Rajah of Sarawak in 1848.1 He held the office of Rajah Muda between 1861 and 1863.1
