     From 24 August 1946, her married name became Hamilton.¹

     John Hotham was born in September 1540.² He was the son of Sir Francis Hotham and Mary Hercy.² He married, firstly, Julian Stanhope, daughter of Sir Michael Stanhope.² He married, secondly, Mary Goring, daughter of George Goring and Anne Denny.¹ He married, thirdly, Jane Legard, daughter of Richard Legard, on 10 January 1585.² He died on 15 June 1609 at age 68.²
