     Hon. James Ochoncar Forbes was born on 6 November 1837.¹ He was the son of Sir John Forbes of Craigievar, 7th Bt. and Hon. Charlotte Elizabeth Forbes.² He was baptised on 28 December 1837 at Fintray, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.³ He married Harriet Hall, daughter of Sir Charles Hall, on 4 August 1863.¹ He died on 5 May 1900 at age 62.¹
     On 14 April 1887 he was granted the rank of a Lord of Parliament’s younger son.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Aberdeenshire.¹ He lived at Corse, Lumphanan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Sir Charles Hall was Vice-Chancellor.¹

     Harriet Hall was the daughter of Sir Charles Hall.² She married Hon. James Ochoncar Forbes, son of Sir John Forbes of Craigievar, 7th Bt. and Hon. Charlotte Elizabeth Forbes, on 4 August 1863.¹ She died on 1 March 1894.¹
     From 4 August 1863, her married name became Forbes.

     John Walter Forbes was born on 20 June 1865.¹ He was the son of Hon. James Ochoncar Forbes and Harriet Hall.² He died on 6 July 1912 at age 47, unmarried.¹
     He lived at Corse, Lumphanan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Gabriel Christie was born on 1 July 1791 at Scoonie, Fife, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of James Christie of Durie and Mary Turner Barclay-Maitland.¹

     Robert Christie was born on 5 November 1792 at Scoonie, Fife, Scotland^G.¹ He was the son of James Christie of Durie and Mary Turner Barclay-Maitland.¹

     William Christie was born on 25 November 1793.¹ He was the son of James Christie of Durie and Mary Turner Barclay-Maitland.¹

     Lt.-Col. Patrick Walter Forbes was born on 11 May 1914.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Ochoncar Forbes and Nora Maude Abercromby.² He married Margaret Hawthorne Lydall, daughter of Charles Hawthorne Lydall, on 16 December 1939.¹ He died in 1979.¹
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was commander of the 1st Battalion, Gordon Highlanders between 1956 and 1959.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1959.¹ He retired from the military in 1960, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Gordon Highlanders.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire in 1963.¹ He lived at Corse, Lumphanan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Charles Hawthorne Lydall was born in 1878.² He died in 1945.²
     He lived at Brightling, Sussex, England^G.¹

     Margaret Hawthorne Lydall was the daughter of Charles Hawthorne Lydall.² She married Lt.-Col. Patrick Walter Forbes, son of Lt.-Col. James Ochoncar Forbes and Nora Maude Abercromby, on 16 December 1939.¹ She died on 22 November 2001.¹
     From 16 December 1939, her married name became Forbes.
