     Catherine Dobbin was born on 16 October 1831.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Archibald Dobbin and Mary Mathews Townsend.² She died on 8 January 1850 at age 18, unmarried.¹

     George Washington Dobbin was born on 14 July 1809.¹ He was the son of George Dobbin and Catherine Bose.² He married Rebecca Pue, daughter of Edward Pue and Sarah Rutter, on 27 June 1831.¹ He died on 28 May 1891 at age 81.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Maryland Cavalry.¹ He was a founder of the Maryland Historical Society in 1844.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹ He gained the rank of Mexican Wars.¹ He held the office of Judge of the Baltimore Supreme Bench.¹ He was Trustee of the Peabody Institute.¹ He was President of the Board of Trustees of Johns Hopkins University.¹ He was Regent of the University of Maryland and Dean of Faculty.¹ He was member of the Board of Johns Hopkins Hospital.¹ He lived at Lawyers Hill, Elkridge, Howard County, Maryland, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Edward Pue married Sarah Rutter.¹

     Rebecca Pue is the daughter of Edward Pue and Sarah Rutter.^2,1 She married George Washington Dobbin, son of George Dobbin and Catherine Bose, on 27 June 1831.¹
     From 27 June 1831, her married name became Dobbin.

     Ann Elizabeth Dorsey was the daughter of Reuben Dorsey.¹ She married William Bose Dobbin, son of George Washington Dobbin and Rebecca Pue, on 12 January 1854.¹ She died in 1855.¹
     From 12 January 1854, her married name became Dobbin.¹

     William Bose Dobbin was born on 30 May 1832.¹ He was the son of George Washington Dobbin and Rebecca Pue.² He married, firstly, Ann Elizabeth Dorsey, daughter of Reuben Dorsey, on 12 January 1854.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Bell Moncure, daughter of Thomas Moncure, on 24 April 1861.¹ He died on 12 March 1864 at age 31, without issue.¹

     Mary Bell Moncure was the daughter of Thomas Moncure.² She married William Bose Dobbin, son of George Washington Dobbin and Rebecca Pue, on 24 April 1861.¹ She died on 12 March 1864, without issue.¹
     From 24 April 1861, her married name became Dobbin.

     Robert Archibald Dobbin was born on 16 March 1839.¹ He was the son of George Washington Dobbin and Rebecca Pue.² He married Elizabeth Swan Key, daughter of Philip Barton Key, on 10 February 1870.¹ He died on 3 January 1911 at age 71.¹
     He fought in the American Civil War, with the Confederate States Army.¹ He was a practising a lawyer in 1866.¹ He lived at Lawyers Hill, Elkridge, Howard County, Maryland, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Philip Barton Key is the son of Francis Scott Key.¹
