     Adelaide Dillon is the daughter of William Dillon and Elizabeth Radcliffe.²

     John Dillon was born on 4 September 1851.¹ He was the son of John Blake Dillon and Adelaide Hart.² He married Elizabeth Mathew, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir James Charles Mathew and Elizabeth Blackmore Biron, in 1895.¹ He died on 4 August 1927 at age 75.¹
     He was educated at University School^G.¹ He was educated at Catholic University of Dublin, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland (L.R.C.S.I.)¹ He abandoned medicine for politics and became a leading Irish nationalist.¹ After October 1879 he helped Parnell raise funds in USA for Land League.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Tipperary in 1880, elected in absentia.¹ In November 1880 he was prosecuted by the Chief Secretray of Ireland.¹ In May 1881 he was re-arrested under the specially created Coercion Act 1881.¹ In October 1881 he was imprisoned at Kilmainham, and released (with Parnell and James O’Kelly) as part of the Kilmainham Treaty of 2 May 1882.¹ On 6 May 1882 he signed a denunciation of the Phoenix Park murders.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Mayo between 1885 and 1918.¹ On 9 September 1887 at Mitchelstown, County Cork, Ireland^G, he was addressing a demonstration when police fired into the crowd, killing three people – he stopped the slaughter by advancing into the crowd, and was later responsible for the patriotic cry ‘remember Mitchelstown.¹‘ In 1888 he was imprisoned briefly.¹ In 1890 he was arrested for ‘criminal conspiracy’ (with William O’Brien), and escaped to France and the U.S.A.¹ In February 1891 he was re-arrested in England and goaled at Galway.¹ In 1908 he originated the scheme to unite Queen’s Colleges Cork and Gaway with University College Dublin to form the National University.¹ He helped Sinn Fein Committee organise resistence to conscription.¹ He was chairman of the Irish Party in 1918.¹

     Henry Dillon was born in 1856.¹ He was the son of John Blake Dillon and Adelaide Hart.² He died in 1938.¹
     He was with the Irish Provincial Franciscan Order between 1902 and 1914.¹

     Charles Paul Dillon was the son of John Blake Dillon and Adelaide Hart.² He died, in infancy.¹

     Rosalie Dillon was the daughter of John Blake Dillon and Adelaide Hart.²

     Christina Dillon is the daughter of John Blake Dillon and Adelaide Hart.²

     Rt. Hon. Sir James Charles Mathew was born on 10 July 1830 at Lehanagh House, County Cork, Ireland.² He was the son of Charles Mathew and Mary Hackett.² He married Elizabeth Blackmore Biron, daughter of Reverend Edward Biron, in 1861.²
     He held the office of Lord Justice of Appeal between 1901 and 1906.²

     Elizabeth Mathew was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir James Charles Mathew and Elizabeth Blackmore Biron.² She married John Dillon, son of John Blake Dillon and Adelaide Hart, in 1895.¹ She died in May 1907.¹
     From 1895, her married name became Dillon.

     Reverend John Dillon was born in 1896.¹ He was the son of John Dillon and Elizabeth Mathew.² He died in November 1970.¹
     He was the Parish Priest at Chapelizod, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Theobald Wolfe Tone Dillon was born in 1898.¹ He was the son of John Dillon and Elizabeth Mathew.² He died in 1946.¹
