Sir James Charles Mathew and Elizabeth Blackmore Biron.1 He married Anna Maria Cassidy, daughter of James Archibald Cassidy and Anna Maria McDonnell, on 21 January 1896 at Monasteravin, County Kildare, Ireland.1 He died on 8 January 1923 at age 50 at Folkestone, Kent, England.1
     He was a practising barrister-at-law.1
