     He was educated at Durham School, Durham, County Durham, England^G.¹ He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in 1956 in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1959 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was with HM Prison Service between 1959 and 1969.^1,3 He was Superintendent between 1969 and 1972 at Guelph Correctional Centre, Guelph, Ontario, Canada^G.³ He was Director, Correctional Services Division, Department of Justice between 1972 and 1973 at New Brunswick, Canada^G.³ He was with the Department of Social Welfare between 1973 and 1976 at Nelson, New Zealand^G.³ He was Senior Investigatin Officer, Office of the Ombudsman between 1976 and 1979 at Wellington, New Zealand^G.³ He was a Lecturer, Institute in Criminology between 1979 and 1986 at Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand^G.³ He was with the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor-General between 1986 and 1993 at Wellington, New Zealand^G.³

     Arthur Pring Farmer lived at Rochester, kent, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹ He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹

     Elizabeth Mary Farmer is the daughter of Arthur Pring Farmer.² She married John Richard Crispin Lee, son of Rev. Canon Thomas Arnold Lee and Ella Marion Heywood, on 17 September 1960.¹
     She was registered as a Member, Chartered Sociey of Physiotherapy (M.C.S.P.)¹ From 17 September 1960, her married name became Lee.

     Benjamin Mark Lee was born on 8 March 1962.¹ He is the son of John Richard Crispin Lee and Elizabeth Mary Farmer.²

     Crispin Oliver Lee was born on 13 December 1963.¹ He is the son of John Richard Crispin Lee and Elizabeth Mary Farmer.²

     Philippa Claire Lee was born on 7 March 1967.¹ She is the daughter of John Richard Crispin Lee and Elizabeth Mary Farmer.²

     Ruth Patricia Heywood Lee was born on 21 June 1924.¹ She is the daughter of Rev. Canon Thomas Arnold Lee and Ella Marion Heywood.² She married Michael John Bridgman, son of George Bridgman, on 1 October 1949.¹
     She graduated from London University, London, England^G, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ From 1 October 1949, her married name became Bridgman. She adopted David Nicholas Bridgman.¹

     George Bridgman lived at Wellington, New Zealand^G.¹

     Michael John Bridgman is the son of George Bridgman.² He married Ruth Patricia Heywood Lee, daughter of Rev. Canon Thomas Arnold Lee and Ella Marion Heywood, on 1 October 1949.¹
