     Cedric Percival Davies, 2nd Baron Darwen was born on 18 February 1915.¹ He was the son of John Percival Davies, 1st Baron Darwen and Mary Kathleen Brown.² He married Kathleen Dora Walker, daughter of George Sharples Walker, on 14 July 1934.¹ He died in 1988.¹
     He was educated at Sidcot School, Winscombe, Somerset, England^G.¹ He graduated from Manchester University, Manchester, Lancashire, England^G, in 1947 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was the Warden between 1948 and 1951 at Letchworth Adult Educational Settlement^G.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Darwen, of Heys-in-Bowland, in the West Riding of Yorkshire [U.K., 1946] on 26 December 1950.¹ He was managing director of Darwen Finalyson, publishers between 1954 and 1973.¹

     Hon. Thomas Barratt Davies was born on 4 June 1916.¹ He was the son of John Percival Davies, 1st Baron Darwen and Mary Kathleen Brown.² He married Doreen Allen, daughter of Arthur James Allen, on 8 March 1941.¹ He died in 1994.¹
     He was educated at Sidcot School, Winscombe, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was educated at Bootham School, York, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Liverpool School of Art, Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.¹ He was a lecturer in art education between 1948 and 1965 at Reading University, Reading, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Arthur James Allen lived at Portsmouth, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Doreen Allen is the daughter of Arthur James Allen.² She married Hon. Thomas Barratt Davies, son of John Percival Davies, 1st Baron Darwen and Mary Kathleen Brown, on 8 March 1941.¹
     From 8 March 1941, her married name became Davies.

     Alan John Barry Davies was born in 1949.¹ He is the son of Hon. Thomas Barratt Davies and Doreen Allen.²
