     He held the office of Bishop of Hull between 1913 and 1929.¹

     Robert Benson married Eleanor Sara Moorsom, daughter of Vice-Admiral Constantine Richard Moorsom and Mary Maude.²

     Mary Constance Maude Benson was the daughter of Robert Benson and Eleanor Sara Moorsom.^2,3 She married Rt. Rev. Sir Edwyn Hoskyns, 12th Bt., son of Rev. Sir John Leigh Hoskyns, 9th Bt. and Phyllis Emma Peyton, on 15 November 1883.¹ She died on 15 January 1939.¹
     From 15 November 1883, her married name became Hoskyns.

     Sir Edwyn Clement Hoskyns, 13th Bt. was born on 9 August 1884.¹ He was the son of Rt. Rev. Sir Edwyn Hoskyns, 12th Bt. and Mary Constance Maude Benson.² He married Mary Trym Budden, daughter of Edwin Budden, on 27 July 1922.¹ He died on 28 June 1937 at age 52.¹
     He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was ordained in 1908.¹ He was the Curate between 1908 and 1912 at St. Ignatius, Sunderland, Scotland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Chaplain to the Forces.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was the Dean between 1919 and 1937 at Christ’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He was Seniorr Proctor between 1921 and 1922 at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He was Select Preacher between 1923 and 1924 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 13th Baronet Hoskyns, of Harewood, co. Hereford [E., 1676] on 2 December 1925.¹ He held the office of Hon. Canon of Derby.¹ He wrote the book The Riddle of the New Testament, published 1931, with F. N. Davey.¹ He held the office of Canon Theologian of Liverpool between 1932 and 1935.¹ He was a biblical scholar including the essay The Christ of the Synoptic Gospels (in Essays Catholic and Critical.)¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity (D.D.) by St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland^G.¹

     Phyllis Eleanor Hoskyns was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Sir Edwyn Hoskyns, 12th Bt. and Mary Constance Maude Benson.² She married Very Rev. Edward Gordon Selwyn, son of Reverend Edward Carus Selwyn, on 4 August 1910.¹ She died on 30 May 1941, leaving issue.¹
     From 4 August 1910, her married name became Selwyn.

     Reverend Edward Carus Selwyn was the Headmaster at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹

     Very Rev. Edward Gordon Selwyn was the son of Reverend Edward Carus Selwyn.² He married Phyllis Eleanor Hoskyns, daughter of Rt. Rev. Sir Edwyn Hoskyns, 12th Bt. and Mary Constance Maude Benson, on 4 August 1910.¹ He died on 11 June 1959.¹
     He held the office of Dean of Winchester.¹ He was a Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹

     Evelyn Mary Hoskyns is the daughter of Rt. Rev. Sir Edwyn Hoskyns, 12th Bt. and Mary Constance Maude Benson.² She married Reverend Edwin George Bucknill, son of G. E. Bucknill, on 10 April 1918.¹
     From 10 April 1918, her married name became Bucknill.
