     He was educated at Loretto School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 8 April 1907.¹ He lived at Northroe and Lochend, Shetland Islands, Scotland^G.¹

     James Anderson lived at Hilton House, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Emily Anderson was the daughter of James Anderson.² She married Robert Camperdown Haldane, son of Robert Haldane and Jane Makgill, in 1876.¹ She died on 27 September 1889.¹
     From 1876, her married name became Haldane.¹

     Lt.-Col. Maldwyn Makgill Haldane was born on 11 January 1877.¹ He was the son of Robert Camperdown Haldane and Emily Anderson.² He married, firstly, Mabel Constance Seymour, daughter of Robert George Seymour, on 8 November 1902.¹ He married, secondly, Katherine Baylay, daughter of Reverend Atwell Mervyn Yates Baylay, in October 1934.¹ He died on 29 June 1940 at age 63.¹
     He was educated at St. Paul’s School, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at Loretto School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major and Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Scots.¹ He was Assistant Director of Special Intelligence Services.¹

     Mabel Constance Seymour was the daughter of Robert George Seymour.² She married Lt.-Col. Maldwyn Makgill Haldane, son of Robert Camperdown Haldane and Emily Anderson, on 8 November 1902.¹ She died on 24 February 1934.¹
     From 8 November 1902, her married name became Haldane.¹

     Robert Aylmer Haldane was born on 6 April 1907.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Maldwyn Makgill Haldane and Mabel Constance Seymour.² He married Eugenie Ivanoff, daughter of Peter Gabriel Ivanoff, on 11 July 1942.¹ He died on 9 December 1998 at age 91.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at London University, London, England^G.¹ He was Administrative Head of the Nature Conservancy in Scotland between 1949 and 1967.¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 21 March 1966.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1967.¹ He wrote the book Champions and Challengers.¹ He wrote the book The Hidden World.¹ He wrote the book The Hidden Word.¹ He lived at Northroe, Shetland Islands, Scotland^G.¹
