     Agnes Sara Hargreaves Brown was born on 7 August 1878.² She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Hargreaves Brown, 1st Bt. and Henrietta Agnes Terrell Blandy.³ She married Brig.-Gen. James Bruce Jardine, son of Manfred Leslie Palmes Jardine, on 15 December 1908.¹ She died on 19 March 1961 at age 82.¹
     From 15 December 1908, her married name became Jardine.

     Manfred Leslie Palmes Jardine lived at Craigroyston, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹

     Brig.-Gen. James Bruce Jardine was the son of Manfred Leslie Palmes Jardine.² He married Agnes Sara Hargreaves Brown, daughter of Sir Alexander Hargreaves Brown, 1st Bt. and Henrietta Agnes Terrell Blandy, on 15 December 1908.¹ He died on 17 March 1955.¹
     He lived at Chesterknowes, Selkirk, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the 5th Lancers.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹
