John Boot, 2nd Baron Trent was born on 19 January 1889.3 He was the son of Jesse Boot, 1st Baron Trent and Florence Anne Rowe.3 He married Margaret Joyce Pyman, daughter of F. H. Pyman, on 10 June 1914.3 He died on 8 March 1956 at age 67.3
He was educated at The Leys School, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.3 He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.3 He fought in the First World War.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1914 in the 7th Territorial Battalion, Sherwood Foresters.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Boot [U.K., 1917] on 13 June 1931.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Trent, of Nottingham, co. Nottingham [U.K., 1929] on 13 June 1931.3 He was a director of Boots Pure Drug Company, chemists.3 He was chairman and managing director of Boots Pure Drug Company, chemists.3 On his death, his titles became extinct.3
