     Major Hon. Robert Thomas Rowley Probyn Butler was born on 8 October 1882.¹ He was the son of Robert St. John FitzWalter Butler, 16th/26th Baron Dunboyne and Caroline Maude Blanche Probyn.¹ He married Grace Theodosia Farquhar Kinloch, daughter of Lt.-Col. George Kinloch, on 15 July 1913.¹ He died on 14 December 1938 at age 56, without issue.¹
