     William Robert Ancketill was born on 31 March 1820.¹ He was the son of William Anketell and Sarah Maxwell.¹ He married Madelina Selina Ker, daughter of David Ker, on 8 October 1844.¹ He died on 9 March 1889 at age 68.¹ He was buried at Ardquin Parish Church, Portaferry, County Down, Ireland.²
     He was given the name of William Robert Anketell at birth.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Monaghan Militia.¹ In 1874 his name was legally changed to William Robert Ancketill, the family reverted to the original spelling of their patronymic by Deed Poll.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was an author of novels of Irish life.¹ He lived at Quintin Castle, Portaferry, County Down, Ireland^G.¹

     Madelina Selina Ker was the daughter of David Ker.¹ She married William Robert Ancketill, son of William Anketell and Sarah Maxwell, on 8 October 1844.¹ She died on 8 April 1878.¹
     From 8 October 1844, her married name became Ancketill.¹

     David Ker held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)¹ He lived at Portavo, County Down, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Donaghadee, County Down, Ireland^G.¹ He lived at Montalto, County Down, Ireland^G.¹

     Amyatt William Ancketill was born on 1 August 1853.¹ He was the son of William Robert Ancketill and Madelina Selina Ker.¹ He died on 20 August 1915 at age 62, unmarried.¹ He was buried at Ardquin Parish Church, Portaferry, County Down, Ireland.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 83rd Foot.¹ He lived at Quintin Castle, Portaferry, County Down, Ireland^G.¹

     Lieutenant David Fitz Ameline Robert Ancketill was born on 27 May 1855.¹ He was the son of William Robert Ancketill and Madelina Selina Ker.¹ He died on 26 August 1885 at age 30 at Karachi, India^G, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 1st Royal Scots, Lothian Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 3rd Belooch Regiment Native Infantry, Honourable East India Company Service (H.E.I.C.S.)¹ He fought in the Afghan War in 1880.¹ He fought in the Egyptian War in 1882.¹

     William Frederick Ancketill was born on 28 February 1858.¹ He was the son of William Robert Ancketill and Madelina Selina Ker.¹ He died on 14 December 1858.¹

     Edith Matilda Ancketill was born on 5 November 1845.¹ She was the daughter of William Robert Ancketill and Madelina Selina Ker.¹ She married, firstly, Thomas John Knox, son of Most Rev. Robert Knox and Catherine Delia Fitzgibbon, on 8 August 1871, with issue.¹ She married, secondly, Captain John Lewis Vaughan Henry, son of Mitchell Henry, on 10 February 1880, with further issue.¹ She died on 9 July 1928 at age 82.¹
     From 8 August 1871, her married name became Knox.¹ From 10 February 1880, her married name became Henry.¹

     Thomas John Knox was born on 6 July 1848.² He was the son of Most Rev. Robert Knox and Catherine Delia Fitzgibbon.^1,3 He married Edith Matilda Ancketill, daughter of William Robert Ancketill and Madelina Selina Ker, on 8 August 1871, with issue.¹ He died on 5 December 1875 at age 27.¹

     Most Rev. Robert Knox was born on 25 September 1808.² He was the son of Ven. Hon. Charles Knox and Hannah Bent.³ He married Catherine Delia Fitzgibbon, daughter of Thomas Gibbon Fitzgibbon and Eliza Osborne, on 5 October 1842.² He died on 23 October 1893 at age 85.²
     He held the office of Bishop of Down, Connor and Dromore in 1848.² He held the office of Archdeacon of Armagh.⁴ He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He held the office of Archbishop of Armagh in 1886.¹ He held the office of Lord Primate of All Ireland in 1886.¹

     Captain John Lewis Vaughan Henry was the son of Mitchell Henry.¹ He married Edith Matilda Ancketill, daughter of William Robert Ancketill and Madelina Selina Ker, on 10 February 1880, with further issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Dragoon Guards.¹
