He became a Fishmongers Guild.1 He held the office of Alderman of London in 1368.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London in 1374.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London in 1381.1 On 13 June 1381 he saved King Richard II’s life, by killing Walter Tyler.1 His last will was dated 20 November 1385.1
