     Roger Beauchamp, 1st Lord Beauchamp (of Bletsoe) was the son of Sir Giles de Beauchamp and Catherine de Bures.1,2,3 He married, firstly, Sibyl Patshull, daughter of Sir John Patshull and Mabel de Grandson, before 1336/37.1 He married, secondly, Margaret (?)1 He died on 3 January 1379/80.1
     He held the office of Keeper of Devizes Castle on 26 October 1340.1 On 6 January 1348/49 the manor of Lydiard Tregoz was confirmed to him and his wife.1 He was created 1st Lord Beauchamp, of Bletsoe [England by writ] on 1 June 1363.1 He lived at Bletso, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Lydiard Tregoze, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Captain of Calais in 1372.1 He held the office of Lord Chamberlain of the Household from 1376 to 1377.1 His last will was dated 19 December 1379.4
