     Sir John Jackson, 1st Bt. was born on 30 December 1763 at Kingston, Jamaica^G.¹ He was the son of John Jackson and Hannah Coverley.² He married Charlotte Spry Gorham, daughter of General Joseph Gorham and Ann Spry, on 13 February 1797.¹ He died on 17 May 1820 at age 56 at Bellmoor House, Hampstead, London, England^G.²
     He was Director of the Honourable East India Company.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dover.² He was Private Secretary to Lord Keith.² He was created 1st Baronet Jackson, of Arlsey, co. Bedford [U.K.] on 22 May 1815.¹

     Charlotte Spry Gorham was born on 16 November 1772 at Gorham Hall, Gorham Point, Nova Scotia, Canada.² She was the daughter of General Joseph Gorham and Ann Spry.¹ She married, firstly, John Christian on 26 March 1791 at Bloomsbury, London, England^G.³ She married, secondly, Sir John Jackson, 1st Bt., son of John Jackson and Hannah Coverley, on 13 February 1797.¹ She died on 30 June 1807 at age 34 at Sidmouth, Devon, England^G.³
     From 26 March 1791, her married name became Christian. From 13 February 1797, her married name became Jackson.¹

     General Joseph Gorham was born on 29 May 1725 at Barnstable, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, U.S.A.² He was the son of Shubael Gorham and Mary Thacher.² He married Ann Spry, daughter of John Spry and Jane Hume, on 29 December 1764 at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada^G. He died on 29 April 1790 at age 64 at Calais, France^G.
     He lived at Gorham Point, Nova Scotia, Canada.³

     Amelia Lavy Waddell was baptised on 14 June 1809 at St. Marylebone, Marylebone, London, England^G.^2,1,3 She was the daughter of George Waddell and Amelia King.⁴ She married Sir Keith Alexander Jackson, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Jackson, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Spry Gorham, on 4 February 1834.⁴ She died on 22 September 1872 at age 63.⁴
     From 4 February 1834, her married name became Jackson.⁴ She lived in 1851 at St. Marylebone, London, England^G.² She lived in 1861 at St Mary Magdalen, Somerset, England^G.¹ She lived in 1871 at Tonbridge, Kent, England^G.³

     George Waddell married Amelia King on 23 October 1802 at Bombay, India.
     He gained the rank of Commissary-General in the Bombay Army.¹

     John Jackson was born in 1730 at Yorktown, Virginia, U.S.A.^G. He was the son of Robert Jackson and Elizabeth Brett. He married Hannah Coverley, daughter of Nathaniel Coverley and Dorothy (?), on 5 May 1759 at Kingston, Jamaica^G.¹ He died in May 1777 at Kingston, Jamaica^G.
     He gained the rank of Surgeon in the Royal Marines.¹ He lived at Kingston, Jamaica.¹

     Hannah Coverley was born in 1740. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Coverley and Dorothy (?)¹ She married John Jackson, son of Robert Jackson and Elizabeth Brett, on 5 May 1759 at Kingston, Jamaica^G.¹ She died on 9 September 1788.
     From 5 May 1759, her married name became Jackson.¹

     Reuben Lidstone was born on 22 May 1766 at Stokenham, Devon, England^G.¹ He was the son of Joseph Lidstone and Priscilla Hardy.¹ He died on 28 November 1810 at age 44.¹

     Hannah Rowe was born in 1771 at Lostwithiel, Cornwall, England^G.¹

     Joseph Lidstone was born in 1744 at Stokenham, Devon, England^G.¹ He was the son of Samuel Lidstone and Joanna Pike.¹ He died in 1825 at Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹
