     Lieutenant Jasper Carew was born on 29 June 1894.¹ He was the son of Reverend Henry William Carew and Maude Elizabeth Taylor.² He died on 14 October 1914 at age 20, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Prince of Wales’ Own West Yorkshire Regiment.¹

     Margaret Carew was born on 11 December 1889.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Henry William Carew and Maude Elizabeth Taylor.² She died on 3 November 1918 at age 28, unmarried.¹
     She was with the Voluntary Aid Detachment.¹

     Commander Alfred Curtis Carew was born on 27 January 1847.¹ He was the son of Thomas Carew and Charlotte Curtis.² He married Susannah Grantham, daughter of Edmund Grantham, on 5 July 1893.¹ He died on 11 February 1927 at age 80.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for British Columbia.¹

     Susannah Grantham was the daughter of Edmund Grantham.² She married Commander Alfred Curtis Carew, son of Thomas Carew and Charlotte Curtis, on 5 July 1893.¹ She died on 9 December 1939.¹
     From 5 July 1893, her married name became Carew.

     Thomas Alfred Curtis Carew was born on 7 July 1895.¹ He was the son of Commander Alfred Curtis Carew and Susannah Grantham.² He married Christina Hanna, daughter of John Hanna, on 15 September 1921.¹ He died in 1970.¹
     He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, with the 2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles.¹

     Christina Hanna is the daughter of John Hanna.² She married Thomas Alfred Curtis Carew, son of Commander Alfred Curtis Carew and Susannah Grantham, on 15 September 1921.¹
     From 15 September 1921, her married name became Carew.

     Brig.-Gen. Patrick Henry Curtis Carew was born on 31 March 1931.¹ He is the son of Thomas Alfred Curtis Carew and Christina Hanna.² He married Norma Diane Willcox, daughter of Claude Rupert Methune Willcox, on 21 August 1954.¹
     He was commissioned in 1948, in the service of the British Columbia Dragoons.¹ He was educated at Manitoba University, Manitoba, Canada^G.¹ He was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration (C.D.) in 1963.¹ He was a lay reader at Cathedral of St. Michael and All Angels (Anglican), Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1980 in the Royal Canadians Dragoons.¹ He was Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel between 1987 and 1990.¹ He was Colonel of the Royal Canadians Dragoons between 1990 and 1993.¹ He lived in 2003 at 1070 Sunnyside Road, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹
