     Dr. Rosalind Esmé Pole Stuart was born between 1895 and 1900.² She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Reginald Pole Stuart and Hester Elizabeth Myburgh. She died in 1986.¹

     Major Ralph Esmé Stuart was born on 9 April 1869.¹ He was the son of Charles Pole Stuart and Anne Smyth.¹ He married, firstly, Beatrice Kitchin, daughter of John Kitchin, on 30 April 1907.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Thompson, daughter of Samuel Thompson, on 25 February 1919.¹ He died on 27 October 1927 at age 58.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Garrison Artillery.¹

     John Kitchin lived at Scarborough, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Beatrice Kitchin was the daughter of John Kitchin.¹ She married Major Ralph Esmé Stuart, son of Charles Pole Stuart and Anne Smyth, on 30 April 1907.¹ She died on 28 August 1913.¹
     From 30 April 1907, her married name became Stuart.

     Samuel Thompson lived at Muckamore Abbey, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹

     Elizabeth Thompson was the daughter of Samuel Thompson.¹ She married Major Ralph Esmé Stuart, son of Charles Pole Stuart and Anne Smyth, on 25 February 1919.¹ She died on 30 July 1962.¹
     From 25 February 1919, her married name became Stuart.

     Grace Henrietta Stuart was born on 30 June 1872.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Pole Stuart and Anne Smyth.¹ She died on 8 June 1955 at age 82, unmarried.¹
