     Lt.-Col. Reginald Pole Stuart was born on 22 July 1863.¹ He was the son of Charles Pole Stuart and Anne Smyth.¹ He married Hester Elizabeth Myburgh, daughter of Gerhard Myburgh and Jacomina Aletta Fleck, in 1895.¹ He died on 20 April 1934 at age 70.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the North Staffordshire Regiment.¹

     Gerhard Myburgh was born on 14 February 1830 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.² He married Jacomina Aletta Fleck.² He died on 16 December 1886 at age 56 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.²
     He held the office of Consul-General for the Netherlands in South Africa.¹
