     Hans Hamilton Howard-Brooke was born on 1 April 1852.¹ He was the son of Richard Howard-Brooke and Frances Caroline Hamilton.¹ He married Lina Mary Maitland, daughter of Lauderdale Maitland, on 30 March 1880.¹ He died on 16 June 1890 at age 38.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.¹

     Lina Mary Maitland is the daughter of Lauderdale Maitland.¹ She married, firstly, Hans Hamilton Howard-Brooke, son of Richard Howard-Brooke and Frances Caroline Hamilton, on 30 March 1880.¹ She married, secondly, Major Hubert Richard Lovett, son of Colonel Thomas Heaton Lovett and Cecil Elizabeth Jones, on 14 July 1892.¹
     From 30 March 1880, her married name became Howard-Brooke.¹ From 14 July 1892, her married name became Lovett.¹

     Lauderdale Maitland lived at Eccles, Dumfries-shire, Scotland^G.¹

     Major Hubert Richard Lovett was born circa 1854.² He was the son of Colonel Thomas Heaton Lovett and Cecil Elizabeth Jones.² He married Lina Mary Maitland, daughter of Lauderdale Maitland, on 14 July 1892.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.¹ He lived at Henlle Hall, Shropshire, England.²

     Caroline Harriett Howard-Brooke was born in 1847 at Ireland.² She was the daughter of Richard Howard-Brooke and Frances Caroline Hamilton.¹ She married Sir John Robert Heron Heron-Maxwell of Springkell, 7th Bt., son of Captain Sir John Heron-Maxwell of Springkell, 6th Bt. and Caroline Stewart, on 7 August 1866.¹ She died on 20 February 1900 at London, England.^1,2 She was buried at St. Giles Churchyard, Shipbourne, Tonbridge, Kent, England.²
     From 7 August 1866, her married name became Heron-Maxwell.¹

     Edith Georgina Howard-Brooke was the daughter of Richard Howard-Brooke and Frances Caroline Hamilton.¹ She married Lamplugh Frescheville Ballantine Dykes, son of Frecheville Lawson Ballantine-Dykes, on 19 February 1879.¹ She died on 1 November 1912.¹
     From 19 February 1879, her married name became Dykes.¹

     Lauren Ellen Menzies was born on 3 October 1996 at Darwin Private Hospital, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia^G.¹ She is the daughter of Craig Henry Menzies and Jennifer Ruth Marshall.¹

     Peta Alyce Squires was born on 21 January 1988 at Darwin Private Hospital, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia^G.¹ She is the daughter of William Lawrence Squires and Victoria Eileen Estelle Menzies.¹

     Liam James Squires was born on 21 February 1990 at Darwin Private Hospital, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia^G.¹ He is the son of William Lawrence Squires and Victoria Eileen Estelle Menzies.¹
