     Sir Patrick Ivor Heron-Maxwell of Springkell, 9th Bt. was born on 26 July 1916.¹ He was the son of Sir Ivor Walter Heron Heron-Maxwell of Springkell, 8th Bt. and Norah Henrietta Parker.² He married Dorothy Geraldine Emma Mellor, daughter of Claud Paget Mellor and Dorothy Muriel Hawley, on 9 December 1942.¹ He died in 1982.¹
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Maxwell, of Springkell [N.S., 1683] on 19 February 1928.¹
