     Garden William Duff, 9th of Hatton was born on 10 June 1814.1 He was the son of Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton and Louisa Dunbar.1 He married, firstly, Douglas Isabella Maria Urquhart, daughter of Beauchamp Colclough Urquhart of Meldrum and Anne Jane Fitzsimons, on 6 June 1850 at Old Meldrum, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.2,3 He married, secondly, Jean Cook on 14 October 1862.1 He died on 17 September 1866 at age 52 at Harrogate, Yorkshire, England.2 He was buried at Kirkton of Auchterless, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3
     He lived at Hatton, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.4

     Douglas Isabella Maria Urquhart was the daughter of Beauchamp Colclough Urquhart of Meldrum and Anne Jane Fitzsimons.2 She married Garden William Duff, 9th of Hatton, son of Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton and Louisa Dunbar, on 6 June 1850 at Old Meldrum, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3,4 She died on 19 June 1861.1
     From 6 June 1850, her married name became Duff.1
