     Dr. Cecil Anderson Boyd was born on 27 June 1875.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Walter Boyd, 1st Bt. and Annie Catherine Anderson.1 He married, firstly, Kathleen Mary Gwendolyn Hardie, daughter of Arthur Douglas Hardie and Constance Anne Matthews, on 20 June 1923.1 He married, secondly, Marjorie Catherine Kinloch, daughter of Francis Kinloch and Marion Eva Marshall, on 6 May 1932.1 He died on 27 February 1942 at age 66.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He gained the rank of Temporary Major in the Royal Army Medical Corps.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1
