Sir Edward des Bouverie, 2nd Bt.1 
In 1717 he purchased the estate of Longford Castle, in Britford, Wiltshire.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet des Bouverie, of St. Catherine Cree Church, London [G.B., 1714] on 19 May 1717.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Shaftesbury between 1718 and 1734.1
