     He was Colonel of the Leinster Regiment.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Isabella Freeman was the daughter of Joseph Deane Freeman.¹ She married General Henry Hamilton, son of Reverend Sackville Robert Hamilton and Jane Freeman, on 15 March 1842.¹ She died on 16 October 1889.¹
     From 15 March 1842, her married name became Hamilton.¹

     Joseph Deane Freeman held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Cork.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Cork.² He lived at Castle Cor, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Henry Claud Hamilton was born on 23 January 1850.¹ He was the son of General Henry Hamilton and Isabella Freeman.¹ He married Henrietta Elmina Wise, daughter of James Wise, on 9 March 1880.¹ He died on 25 April 1923 at age 73.¹

     Henrietta Elmina Wise was the daughter of James Wise.¹ She married Henry Claud Hamilton, son of General Henry Hamilton and Isabella Freeman, on 9 March 1880.¹ She died in March 1929.¹
     From 9 March 1880, her married name became Hamilton.¹

     Mary Hamilton is the daughter of Hon. Henry Hamilton and Mary Dawson.¹ She married Reverend Nathaniel Preston, son of Nathaniel Preston and Anne Dawson, on 4 October 1763.¹
     From 4 October 1763, her married name became Preston.¹

     Reverend Nathaniel Preston was baptised on 21 January 1724.² He was the son of Nathaniel Preston and Anne Dawson.² He married Mary Hamilton, daughter of Hon. Henry Hamilton and Mary Dawson, on 4 October 1763.¹ He died in 1796.¹
     He lived at Swainston, County Meath, Ireland^G.¹
