     He was a Bencher for Lincoln’s Inn, and Autumn Reader.¹ He held the office of Master in Chancery, in the time of James I.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Boston, in the time of Elizabeth I and James I.¹

     Thomas Irby was the son of Anthony Irby and Alice Bunting.¹ He married Isabel Serjeant, daughter of Thomas Serjeant. He died in April 1561.¹
     He lived at Whaplode, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹

     Anthony Irby was the son of Robert Irby and Joan Thimbleby.² He married Alice Bunting, daughter of John Bunting. He died on 21 June 1552.¹
     He lived at Gosberton, Lincolnshire, England^G.¹
     He had five other sons, and five daughters.¹

     Alice Bunting was the daughter of John Bunting.¹ She married Anthony Irby, son of Robert Irby and Joan Thimbleby. She died in 1557.¹
     Her married name became Irby.¹

     Isabel Serjeant was the daughter of Thomas Serjeant.¹ She married Thomas Irby, son of Anthony Irby and Alice Bunting. She died in 1573.¹
     Her married name became Irby.¹

     Thomas Serjeant lived at Moulton, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Alice Welbye was the daughter of Thomas Welbye.¹ She married, secondly, Anthony Irby, son of Thomas Irby and Isabel Serjeant, on 22 December 1575. She died in April 1602.¹
     Her married name became Tash.¹ From 22 December 1575, her married name became Irby.¹
