William James Peake Mason, 1st Baron Blackford1 
He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1891 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He was created 1st Baronet Mason [U.K.] on 3 July 1918.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Somerset in 1928.1 He was created 1st Baron Blackford, of Compton Pauncefoot, co. Somerset [U.K.] on 26 June 1935.1
